광운대학교는 1934년에 설립한 조선무선소를 기반으로 미래의 ICT 전자시대를 예견한 조광운 박사님께서 근면성실, 검소절약, 탐구실천이라는 창학정신에 입각하여 설립을 하셨습니다. 오늘날 “ICT분야를 중심으로 다양한 첨단과학 및 인문사회과학 융합을 추구하는 세계적인 대학교”로 발전을 거듭하고 있습니다.
광운대학교 대학원은 고도 최첨단 ICT 4차 산업사회 및 AI 정보화 시대가 요구하는 첨단 과학 및 인문사회 지식을 연구하고 교육함으로써 전인적이며 전문적인 우수 인재를 양성하는데 목적을 두고 설립 되었습니다. 1979년 개원하여 현재는 1000여명의 국내외 석박사 과정 재학생으로 구성되었으며, 현재 45개 학과에 개설된 석사과정, 박사과정, 석박사 통합과정을 통하여 글로벌한 우수인재를 양성하고자 노력하고 있습니다.
본 대학원은 세계적인 수준의 훌륭한 교수진을 갖추고 있으며, 국제화 공동 연구를 통하여 인류사회의 발전에 이바지 할 고급인력 양성을 양성하고 있으며 대학원 졸업후에 국내외적인 연구소, 대학교, 기업에서 중추적인 역할을 하는 인재를 배출하고 있습니다. 더불어 대학원의 각 분야는 국내외 대학 최상위권을 확보하고 있으며, 국내외 우수 학생 유치를 위한 장학제도 확충, 국내외 산업체 및 연구기관과의 산학연 연계, 다양한 연구 및 전문 교육 프로그램 개발 등 제도적인 지원시스템을 구축하고 있습니다.

Welcome to the Graduate School of Kwangwoon University, one of the renowned Graduate Schools in Korea.
During the time of darkness, when our nation was under Japanese colonization, Chosun Radio School was established in 1934 by Dr. Kwangwoon Cho, the pioneer who has foreseen the upcoming electronics engineering-based technologies; proudly, Kwangwoon University has developed to inherit its legacy. Today, Kwangwoon University has grown to become a “smaller but stronger” college, leading the fourth industrial revolution which roots from convergence of information and communication technologies.
Kwangwoon Graduate School was established under its founding spirit of diligence, thrift, and exploration to study knowledge and to educate professionals holistically, following the criteria of successful individuals in information age. Starting with 36 students in 1979, now about 1000 students including international students from many parts of the world are devoting their selves on work, day and night, to realize their academic visions and achieve professional goals.
In 45 department of Kwangwoon Graduate School, master’s, doctoral, and master-doctoral integrated courses are open to foster creative and outstanding talents. Also, we are proud to mention that our “smaller but stronger” faculty members has not only been supplying high-quality human resources to the society, but also has not missed high rankings in major domestic research indicators owing to their consistent effort. In accordance with the high performances of the students and faculty members, Kwangwoon Graduate School has been solidifying systematical supports including expansion of scholarship programs, academic-industrial collaboration programs, and development of new educational programs.
